# Authors & Contributors

The **Sustainability Transformation HaCLAthon** is a collaborative, open-science initiative. Unlike traditional conference proceedings that separate authors into isolated papers, this living Jupyter Book is a shared, citable data artifact {cite:p}`haclathon_ioer_2026`.

Every accepted contributor is recognized as a co-author of the final published publication with a permanent DOI.

```{admonition} Citable Data Publication
**Recommended Citation (Final Publication):**
**HaCLAthon Contributors (2026).** *Sustainability Transformation HaCLAthon: Collaborative Spatial Data Science and Transformative Governance*. 4th IOER Conference “Space & Transformation”, Jupyter Book Code & Data Materials. DOI: [10.71830/TBD](https://doi.org/TBD).
## Contribution & Recognition Model
We follow the open-science principles of the **CRediT (Contributor Roles Taxonomy)** to acknowledge all forms of scholarly work transparently:
* 💻 **Code & Software:** Developing computational workflows, Python/R scripts, and spatial analysis pipelines.
* 🗺️ **Data Stories & Visualization:** Authoring map-led narratives, Carto-Lab experiments, and visual interpretations.
* ✍️ **Writing & Conceptualization:** Drafting domain texts, defining planning problems, and formulating policy relevance.
* 📦 **Data Curation & Testing:** Providing replication packages, preparing OGC/API datasets, and auditing cloud execution.
* ⚙️ **Infrastructure & Facilitation:** Maintaining CI/CD deployment, Jupyter4NFDI/Colab integration, and Git repository curation.
## How Authorship is Tracked
1. **Git Commit History:** Every commit merged into `main` preserves the author's original Git name, email, and GitHub account attribution.
2. **Chapter Metadata:** Each chapter explicitly lists its primary contributing authors at the top of the notebook.
3. **`CITATION.cff`:** Before final publication (October 2026), all contributors will be compiled into the repository's machine-readable `CITATION.cff` file and registered in the Zenodo / ioerDATA DOI metadata.
